Alumnae-Reconnect!

friends

Many Girl Scout parents, volunteers and community leaders--just like you--have fond memories of their Girl Scout experience. Whether you were a Girl Scout as a young girl or at any time as an adult, we offer you the opportunity to remember your past and celebrate the future of Girl Scouting by becoming a member of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Alumnae Association.

Meet old friends and make new ones, keep current on what is currently happening in Girl Scouts and support that effort in whatever way you choose. Some members are active Girl Scout volunteers, while others were active years ago. Some are young, while others are young at heart. All are welcome to join. Many fun events are planned throughout the year for those who want to attend. For more information about Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Alumnae Association, please e-mail Alumnae@GSEIWI.org.

Alumnae Lunch & Laugh Groups

The Girl Scout Lunch and Laugh Group is an opportunity to connect and stay connected with Girl Scouts. The group is for current and former Girl Scout adults who support the mission of Girl Scouting and believe in the "spirit of sisterhood" in Girl Scouting.

Johnson County Area

The group gathers in a Johnson County area restaurant at 11:30 A.M. on the last Friday of the month for fun, food and fellowship. The exception to the last Friday of the month meeting date is holidays and Girl Scout Events.

A minimum of three people must plan to attend or the gathering will be cancelled. RSVP's are required to The Girl Scout Lunch and Laugh Group, Gerry Floyd at southerngerry@aol.com by Noon on the Wednesday before the date. A reminder email is sent out a week prior to the date. A cancellation notice will be sent to people who RSVP. The schedule for 2010-2011 is listed below.

For questions contact: Gerry Floyd, 1809 Hafor Drive Iowa City, Iowa 52246 or email southerngerry@aol.com or call 319-351-2350.

Linn County Area

The Cedar Rapids area alumnae group meets for lunch at 11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month at various restaurants. All alumnae are welcome to attend—and you can bring a friend. For more information or questions, please contact host, Rachel Wheeler or call 319-366-7463.
