Junior Trip 2012 :: Journey World, Chicago, IL

Become an engineer as you learn about the design process, create your own Dance Pad Mania, launch ping pong balls into the air, learn about circuitry and sling-shot eggs across the room. Work in design teams to develop a new invention, and interact with leading women engineers.

Birthplace Bound :: Savannah, GA :: 2012

Experience the southern charm and exquisite architecture of Savannah, one of the oldest cities in America. See brilliantly restored neighborhoods filled with stately old mansions and Victorian homes. Discover hidden gardens and old plantations. And visit the Girl Scout First Headquarters and participate in the programs at Juliette Gordon Low's Birthplace. With boasting beauty and deep-rooted history, there's a lot to admire in this magnificent Georgian city.

National Trip 2013 :: Washington, DC/New York, NY

Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois is planning to head east the end of July 2013 to visit Washington D.C., New York City & Philadelphia! Girls will board a chartered bus and head EAST and visit attractions such as:

Arlington National Cemetery, Capitol Hill, CBS Morning Show, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Manhattan, NBC Studio, Smithsonian Museums, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Washington Monument, Medieval Times, Broadway Show.

* Note: The first meeting for the National Trip will be March 4 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew's, 1300 Melrose Ave., Iowa City. Please note date change.

International Trip :: England, France, Switzerland, Italy

Embark upon 18 days of travel by every means imaginable. Bus, plane, train, boat, gondola, ski lift… you name it, we’ll use it. Along our ride we’ll see sights in England, such as the Big Ben clock tower, Buckingham Palace, a Broadway musical, and much more. Every country will have its treasures to share with us and we’ll experience Girl Scouting around the world at Our Chalet in Switzerland, and Pax Lodge in London, England.

We’ll also see the Eiffel Tower, and the Louvre in France; the Swiss Alps and amazing landscapes in Switzerland, and of course the intriguing history and culture of Italy.

Registration for this trip will begin October 1, 2013.

California Dreamin' Camporee 2012

Girls from Around the World Invited to California Dreamin' Camporee, Summer 2012 - Early Bird Discount Registration!

Ever dreamed of experiencing the fun and adventure of Northern California? Then join us for California Dreamin', a seven-day international camporee that will give memories of a lifetime to hundreds of teen girls from across the world July 29-August 5, 2012 as part of Girl Scouts of Northern California's 100th Anniversary celebration.

Girl Scouts and Girl Guides ages 13-18 and their adult leaders will experience California at its finest - choosing from river rafting, deep sea fishing, workshops, and much more while camping at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, California, just a few miles from the San Francisco Bay!
