Program Kits

Don't have time to plan your troop meeting? Try a program kit — they're easy and fun!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are program kits?

Program kits are resources available to check-out from the council — they contain activity instructions, supply lists, and ideas for supplemental activities. Some program kits even come with supplies — these kits are available for a minimal fee. Program kits come in a variety of themes and can be used as a complete program or as a supplement to an event or outing planned by the girls.

How do I use a program kit?

All of the program kits are similar in their format. They contain age appropriate ways for girls to discover, connect and take action through activities, field trips and service projects. In each kit, you will also find an evaluation form where you can make suggestions for additions or improvements to the kits.

Kits that come with supply boxes can be checked out for a nominal fee which is used to keep the kit stocked for future use. These kits are listed separately below along with the cost to check them out. Not all kits are available at each leadership center, but kits can be moved to the leadership center nearest to you if you request them at least two weeks in advance and they are available.

Who can check out a program kit and how do I do it?

Any Girl Scout volunteer or council staff member can check out a program kit to help bring the Girl Scout program to girls. To request a program kit, contact your local leadership experience manager. Not all kits are stocked at each leadership center, so please allow time for the requested kit to be delivered to your nearest leadership center. Kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
