Girl Scouts Rocks!
Do cool things. Make new friends. Go places. Girl Scouts is open to all girls ages 5-17. In Girl Scouts, girls learn the three keys to leadership development: Discover, Connect, and Take Action. Girl Scouts of all ages explore their skills, values and their world; relate to others in a multicultural world; and engage in making a difference in the world.
Girls can join Girl Scouts at different grade levels:
Age-appropriate activities-designed by girls to meet their changing needs and interests-are offered through a partnership between girls and adults. Girls learn by doing and reflecting on what they have accomplished. Cooperation, teamwork, and compromise are taught through all-girl teams working toward shared goals.
Girls can participate in Girl Scouting through troop meetings, activity centers or as individuals, called Girl Scout Juliettes. In addition, all registered Girl Scouts can participate in Girl Scout events, attend summer resident camp, and participate in product sales; the annual Fall Sale Program and the Cookie Sale Program.
Girl Scout Troops raise their own funds for the activities they plan through troop dues, money-earning activities and the product sale programs. Girl Scouts may also choose to purchase uniforms, insignia and books to enhance their Girl Scouting experience. Shop Here!
Pay the annual membership fee of $12, renewable each October 1. Grants are available. Lifetime membership dues are: $156.00 for graduating seniors (till September 30, 2010) and $300.00 for adults.
